The Fire; Brigade Demonstration. — Very keen interest is being taken by tho members of the various fire brigades in the competitions which are to be held in March next. The Cliristchurch and other brigades in the district are practising assiduously in preparation for the contest. Lecture.— Mr Isaac Selby concluded a very interesting series of lectures on Monday evening, when he gave, at the Oddfellows' Hall, his popular lecture " From Atheism to Christianity," to a large and appreciative audience.
