Mails close for the following places as j under, subject to the necessary alterations :— ■ j Tuesday, Feb. 11. I For Timaru, per Chilka, at 3 p.m.; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.s guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters, 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Northern Ports, per Flora,, at 7.45 p.m. ; late fee letters, 8 p.m. j guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. Mails for Tonga, Samoa and Fiji will close at Auckland on Feb. 12. The next mail for the TJnited Kingdom and Europe via San Francisco will close on Feb. 19. Due London March 25. Mails for Tahiti and Earatonga close at Auckland, Feb. 19. Note. — A posting-box has been affixed to Mr Cuming's Store, corner of Madras and Kingsley Streets, Sydenham, and will be cleared at 3 a.m., 8 a.m., and 2.30 p.m. daily. R. Kibton, Chief Postmaster.
