Rakaia Amateur Swimming Club. — This club is giving a gold medal for the most points in three distances, viz., 50yds, 75yds and 100 yds, open to members only (handicap). The first distance was swum last night, and resulted as follows: — Robert Telfer 6scc, 1 ; Fred Hurroll Bsec, 2; E. B. Wright ssec, 3. Telfer won by five yards, Hurrell about a foot in front of Wright, who just beat O'Neill on the touch for third place. Coffey, Hardy and Haslett also started.
