Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations:— Thursday, Jan. 16. For Northern Ports, per Takapuna, at 4.20 p.m. ; late fee letters, 4.35 p.m. ; j guard's van 5.30 p.m. train. Friday, Jan. 17. For Dunedin, per Corinna, at 12.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m. ; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern Ports and Australian , l olonies, per Mararoa, at 3 p.m. j late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Mails for Tahiti and Earatonga close at Auckland, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m. The next mail for the United Kingdom and Europe vid San Francisco will close on Jan. 23. Due London Feb. 26. The next parcel mail for the United Kingdom and Europe ■will close about Jan. 24, to connect with Euahine at Wellington. Mails for New Hebrides close at Sydney, Jan. 23 and 28. I \ Mails for Noumea, Fiji and Tonga close at Sydney, Jan. 28. , Mails for Fiji, per Upolu, close at Auckland, Jan. 30, at 4 p.m. Mails for Fiji, Honolulu, Vancouver and United States (to connect with Miowera leaving Sydney Jan. 25) close at.
