Drunkenness. — Edward Cranch was fined 10s.-— A' first offender, for having been : drunk., while ;hi charge of a horse and cart, was fined 20s and costs.— Another .first offender was fined 5s and costs, — John Kelly, for disorderly conduct while drunk, was fined 20s and costs, in default forty-, eight hours' ■ imprisonment.— Margaret ■ Ryder pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, ;and the captain of the "Salvation Army offered to take charge of her. 'In consideration of this the Bench convicted her, to receive sentence when called upon. Breaches of -BT-LAws.- ! -rHugh Walker s was charged with cutting grass, . td the .value' of • Is :6d: from a -Council reserve. .Defendant admitted .having cut the grass, but said he did not know that he had no fright to do sd.
