Harman and W\ Jacques, and the Mayors I of Christchureh and Sydenham. ! Messrs A;Carti'ck (chairman) and\ H. A. Bruce' (secretary) waited on the ■'Board as i'a deputation* f£oni the AcclimatisationSociety, representing' that if fishing, were I- prohibited' on:the Board's-property between j; the Armagh 1 ■ $treet bridge and the bend by , the JRiccartoniEoad, the.range of: fishing in fttie Ayop would be too limited;.. They, also . as'lced the-Board to. allow to stand over for. this; season -tfie condition that "fishermen must have permission- in writing from an •official of the- Board before being ailowed to fish on the Board's property. ) .
