A meeting of Mr Charles Lewis's friends and supporters is convened for 7.30 on Thursday evening at the Knightstown Library. In connection with the Ballance Liberal Association, a public meeting will be held in the Waltham Library at eight o'clock to-morrow evening, when an address will be delivered by Mr TV. TV. Collins, MJH.R. A largely-attended meeting of MrT. E. Taylor's Addington committee was held last evening in the rooms, Selwyn Street. Arrangements were perfected for the complete canvass of the Addington Ward, and reports received of the most favourable nature. The Secretary states that the committees of the Newton, Sandridge and Waltham-< TVards are .full,, and" "that ._a surplus of workers who offered their services have been attached to the committees for" 'the city portion of the electorate.
