Two hundred and fifty of the sheep by the Yarra Wonga sold at 40s each, the remainder bringing 365. Their good condition is attributed to the gradual change from green to dry food at the beginning of the voyage. „. '. "

LONDON, Jan. 12. The English wheat market shows a general advance of 6d, the Continental is firm, and the American lifeless. At yesterday's sales 1925 casks of tallow were offered, of which 925 casks were sold. Medium mutton 21s 9d, medium beef 20s. Hides — Heavy Australian ox, 3|d, light 3Jd to 3fd, cow 3d to 3|d. The prospects of the wool,sale3 are good. Twelve hundred bales have been sold privately at jd above the December rates. The Peel River Land Company shows profits for the year of .£24,780, and a divir dend of 2 per cent has been declared, .£2OOO placed to the property depreciation account, and SVIBO carried forward.
