STOLEN STAMPS.

THE COMPETITIVE DESIGNS. [Per Press Association.]

WELLINGTON, Jan. 13,

During the exhibition of postage-stamp designs in the south, in November last, certain of them were missed as follows : — One each from the designs submitted under the noms de plume of "Snowflake," Kotuku," " Farmer," " Flemington," " Omnia Bona," "Desuper," "Tyro," "Bianchini," "Philatelus," "Supplejack," and tr Maori;" two from those sent in by another "Maori" (several competitors gave this motto), and three from "Nous verrons." Two whole sheets are also missing, numbered 74 and 75, and bearing the titles' "Huia" and "Moa land" respectively.' Two competitors show the latter norn de plume, and these are believed to have been stolen. The matter has. been placed in the hands of the police.
