EYRETON.

An ordinary meeting was held on Jan. 6 ; present — Messi's Hopkins (chairman), Giles and Wright. Correspondence was read and dealt with. Clerk was directed to have the notice board at the pound fresh painted, and the scale of fees painted in black, and to invite tenders for painting the cottages and the construction of a concrete bridge over the Ohoka Creek on the Ohoka Eoad below the pound. It was resolved that the following scale of fees should be charged for the registration of dogs in the Eyreton Eoad Board district until further notice : — Sheep and cattle dogs, up to three, owned by one person, 2s 6d each, and over three os each. Skye terriers, fox terriers, poodles, 5s each ; greyhounds, retrievers, spaniels, St Bernards, Newfoundlands, 10s each. The Eegistrar of Dogs was directed to take legal proceedings against several persons who were found not to have registered their dog 3 for 1895. The Surveyor was allowed two weeks holiday during harvest. Accounts amounting to .£lO5 18s 7d were passed and ordered to be paid.
