Ashley School. — The. annual treat took place on Wednesday, in a paddock kindly lent by Mr N. Boyce. Special donations were received from friends, and the committee spent about Jls in refreshments, sports and prizes. After tea the Chairman (Mr . W. Whiteside) distributed prizes to those who had passed their standards and presents to the others. Sewing prizes were gained by Bertha Wright, Emily Collie, Maud Pound, Mary Duffell, Anna Duffell, Mary Loffhagen and Edith Dick ; and attendance prizes by David Eobertson, Prudence Boyce, Henrietta Banks, Maud Pound and Ellen Pound. In the evening a, "social" was held in the school. . "Many of the citizens of Eainsvillo Indiana, aro never without a bottle of Chamberlain's Cough Remedy in the house," says Jacob Brown, the leading merchant of the place. This Eemedy has proven of so much value for colds, croup and whooping cough in children that few mothers who know its worth are. willing to be without it.
