The Licensing Act. — At the Christchurch Magistrate's Court yesterday before Mr. E. Beetham, S.M., J. E. Ingle, licensee of the Central Hotel, was charged with halving committed breaches of the Licehdy ing Act by selling intoxicating liquor after' the ' hour ' of closing, on Dec. 28; * and |on Sunday, Dec. 29. There were three charges; and the hearing occupied the Court from 10.30 a.m. till ISO p.m. The cases excited a good deal of interest, and the Court was crowded. .
