THE SICKNESS ON BOARD. , [Peb Pbess Association,! - NELSON, Jan. 8. Tlie barque Lothair signalled this afternoon that a male passenger was ill, and that a doctor was wanted. Up to ten o'clock the Health Officer had not gone out. It is blowing south-west, ahd there is a, choppy sea on. Dr Leggatt expects to go out at seven in the morning. Doubts have been expressed here whether the disease is dengue fever and one old sailor declares that the symptoms are such, aa he experienced in the East from drinking bad water.
