The second innings of the South Australian eleven closed for 134, New South "Wales thus winning by an innings and 34 runs. The scdres in the second innings of the South Australians were — Reedman 0, Martin 8, Scrymgour 1, Giffen 0, Lyons 29, Darling 33, Hill 2, Jarvis 27, Evans 2, Jones 9, F. Jarvis not out 12, extras s'; total 134. Howell took five wickets for 44, M'Kibbin four for 73, and Richardson one for 8. ;

The collapse of the home team is partially, due to the intense heat which was experienced to-day, the thermometer showing a recbT-d for the year, viz., 106 in the shade. M'Kibbin clean bowled Giffen with a beautiful leg break before he had a chance to score. Lyons had a short but merry life^ Darling and A. Jarvis made the only stand of the innings, both' showing fine crioket. HowelT displayed excellent judgment with the ball. •
