THE MACKENZIE COUNTRY.
Owing to the paucity of stock on the ground the Mackenzie country has now abundance of feed, and the sight of it emphasises to the occupants the losses I they sustained in the winter. The akin- ! ning of the dead sheep has not yet been completed on the higher country, as there are large patches of Bolid drifts yet left from the winter, and gome of them contain frozen sheep.
