W. leitt, asking the Synod to allow him to address the Synod on the aims of the Chriatchnreh I Prohibition/ League. The Synod, on a division, decided not to aecede to Mr Isitt'e request. Com*i.im*ntart " Social." — At a meeting of the Christohurch Plumbers and Gasfitters* Union, held on Tuesday, August 6, it was decided to tender a compli- ■ mentary "social" to Messrs C. P. Bradford, J. D. Colville t»nd H. Morrison in recognition of their past services as members of the Union.
