AN INHUMAN MOTHER. [Special to Prsss Association.] MELBOURNE, August 14. Mrs Williams, the mother who murdered her boy, is a young widow, who, Binoe she lost her husband, has lived a loose life. Three timeß Bhe abandoned the ohild. On one occasion a woman who made an offer to support it appealed to the Court, but failing to get a remedy, left it with the Magistrate, Mr Pan ton, and cleared out. The ohild was then handed to the police. Mrs Williams has confessed that she took the ohild to the lagoon and tied a stone to its waist while the infant was laughing at the water, and then pushed it in. The reason given is that the people where Bhe was living were always grumbling about the poor child crying for its mother.
