THE WRECK OF THE CATTERTHUN.
• [Special to Pbess Association.] SYDNEY, August 13. The evidence at the inquest showed that the weather was very thick when the relief tug arrived on the scene. Another Chinaman's body waa recovered and buried at sea. A small quantity of wreckage is coming ashore, including some of the passengers' effects. At the inquest on those drowned in the Cfttterthun, the second mate, after some pressure, stated that the course steered wftß north 40 east when the vessel Btruck. He had headed her out to the eastward hree points eight minutes before she struck, as he thought they were getting too close in. The course Bteered from Port Stephens showed that it was not intended to go between the Seal Bocks and the mainland. Either a strong set or the high following sea brought ber in. The vessel was steeriog north 30 east when he took charge.
