THE MARRIAGE AT THE REGISTEAR'S OFFICE.

It wbb currently reported in town on Saturday that Mr Worthington had been united to the lady by the registrar, but whether this is true or not has not yet been ascertained. Suffice it to say that Mr Worthington, with the lady and Mr Duggan, paid a visit to the Registrar's office on Saturday, and remained there for some little time. The statement that the marriage has taken place is denied by several of those who remain faithful to the teacher, and it is stated that the nuptials will be celebrated to-morrow. Enquiries this morning eh?w that the marriage was actually celebrated by the Eegistrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, at his office on Saturday morning, and the following information has been obtained from the official copy of the register :— The contr&oting parties were :— Arthur Bentley Worthington, aged 48, Teacher of Truth, bachelor, born in New York, the son of Arthur Bentley Worthingfcon, banker, of New York and Florence Worthington n& Bentley. Evelyn Maud Jordan, spinster, aged twenty-nine years, daughter of Jameß Winßeld Jordan,' draper, of Sydenham, and Ellen Teresa Jordan nte Brittan. The witnesses were James Jordan, draper of Sydenham, and Charles Duggan, painter, of Chrißtchurdi. j
