The Industrial Exhibition.— Yesterday the executive of the industrial exhibition decided that it should be open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The whole of the woodwork of the exhibition building has been erected ; and the work of' covering the roof will be begun to-day. To give some idea of the magnitude of the structure, it may be mentioned that fifteen tons of corrugated iron will be required for thia purpose. The first rehearsal of the children who are to sing at the opening ceremony took place at the Caledonian Society's rooms yesterday afternoon, under the direction of Mr George Daltry. Mr H. Boseiter acted aB accompanist. ""Owing to some echoolß having been closed in consequence of Mr Veal's funeral, all the children who are to take part we're not present, but about sixty attended, and practised the National Anthem and Mr Eoseiter's anthem, " Zea* landia." They acquitted themselveß remarkably well.
