I THUBSDAT. 1 The morning being fine and the tracks n fair order, many trainers availed themiselves of the opportunity to give their charges good sound work. Sir Isaac, War Dance and Pilgrim were first out, and separately covered two rounds at steady and half-pace. Warsaw spurted over half a mile at the end of each of two rounds, and Shanke was schooled over the fences. Marino, Jewel, Triton and Mainstay accomplished gentle exercise, while Richlake ran half a mile fast, and later in the morning bolted off the course on to the road. He was in bis clothing, with a light lad on his back, and had not returned when the work was finished. Social Pest covered two rounds at i half pace, and Rofcoma half that distance, finishing fast over the last four furlongs. Chryßtal alone, and Bosciua and Booties together were schooled over the big fences, all jumping well. Couranto and Mystical | cantered one circuit, and then galloped = anotkor fast ; Couranto, though moving short, went much better than yesterday. Lord of Misrule and Georgie Sharp j were associated in a gallop once round at ; three-quarter pace. Donald M'Kinnon ; easily defeated Sunspot in a gallop twice round over the hurdle?. Each horße I missed one flight. Mies Madge traversed one round at three-quattsr pace, and Liberator galloped a mile faßt after finishing two rounds over hurdles, which he jumped in first-class style. Yogengang and Silver Spec jumped off at the mile poafc, and ran the. distance out fast. The mare, who had a lighter lad in the saddle who wore spurs, quite held her own. Norton was given two rounds at half and three-quarter pace, while hisstablecompanions Lascar and Repo were restricted to steady and half-pace exercise. Boomerang covered three rounds at half and Glengarrie two at half and three-quarter pace. Goodwood finished fast over the laat six furlongs of one round. Solano performed bimil&r exercise, bat the other members of tbe Middleton team only cantered quietly over a couple of 'rounds. The Bishop and King John in rugs, each covered three circuits at a steady pace. Gebel-el-Tarik was allotted one round over hurdles, one of which he ran round. Much Ado was Bent two rounds at half, and Empire two at three-quarter pace, while Paßtime and Blackbird were schooled over the fenoeß and fenced well. The racehorses Egmont and Kahurangi were landed at Lyttelfcon this morning from the Bteamer Anglian from the north. Both horses had a° rather severe time during the heavy weather experienced on the passage from Wellington.
