RUMOURED LIBEL ACTION.
It is stated, cays our Wellington correspondent, that the Colonial Treasurer has instructed his solicitor to issue a writ for libel against a well-known Gore settler, in connection with a letter whioh appeared in a southern newspaper come months ago, casting reflections upon Mr Ward with regard to frozen meat transactions.
