A RECORD BROKEN.

A telegram from Wellington saya that' T. B. Bax began an attempt on Tuesday night to beat the record for swinging two pound clubs, and brought it to a successful conclusion at ten last night. The conditions were that he waß never to stop, and relays of members of the Gymnastic Club attended during the whole time to ensure their performance. Bax kept going for twenty-six hours, thus beating the record by one hour. There was a large attendance, and the performer waa heartily cheered on finishing.
