AUCKLAND, Jttnb 26.
Walter Buchanan, baker, for a breach of the Factory Act, by employing boys over hours, pleaded guilty, and, including costs, was fined on three charges, £8 2a.
At a meeting of volunteers a resolution was passed, regretting the proposed with. drawal of the Government grant and concessions for meetings of the NewZealand Rifle Association, urging the local representatives in the House of Representatives- to prevent their withdrawal, and recommending a special grant for the meeting at Oamaru in 1896, at; which Australian representatives will be present. '
