Two men, named , Barclay and Barman, were killed, and two others were seriously injured. [Peb Press Association.! WELLINGTON, June 26. Mr C. Hickey, an accountant in the Drainage Engineer's Department, slipped in alighting from a. tramear, and one wheel paesed over his body, breaking three ribs. His condition is serious. Mr Hickey told the driver that there was no necessity to atop to allow him to get off. The unfortunate man narrowly escaped being killed two or three years ago by falling off a tramcar. BLENHEIM, June 25. An inquest on the body of Thomas Gullery, a Hounds settler, who died in the Picton hospital on Monday after a spell of unconsciousness lasting from Saturday night, when it is alleged he received a blow from George Harris, was opened to-day, hat was postponed till Saturday. DUNEDIN, June 26. Catherine Rodgers, an aged widow, was Found dead in her bed at Caveraham.
