I The Hospital Inquiry. — Yesterday I five witnesses were examined at the bos* pital inqniry in support of the allegations Bgainut the administration, making a total of forty-four who have given evidence on that side since the opening of the irqairy. Tbe case in support of the allegations ia now closed, except for the evidence of Dr De Kenzi, wbo, it haa been arranged, is to be examined on Monday. Yesterday Dr Stewart admitted having written the letter signed " Tongariro," tn which a number of statements, upon which tbe present allegations are to a large extent based, wcro made. Four witnesses were examined for < what may be termed the defence. The attendance of the public was small in the morning, but fifty or Bixty peraons were present dnring the afternoon. Afc 4.20 p.m. tbe inquiry adjourned to 10.30 a.m. on Monday. luasonic Conckbt. — The public are reminded thnt tbe grand Maeonic concert will t>ke place in the Opera House on July 9.
