Christchurch, lcaing the to9a, defended tlje southern goal. Hamilton kicked of? for Christchurch, who quickly brought tho game into their opponents' quarter?, bufc tbo oplendid dofonoe of tha Pylades' backs bsfiLd the attempt to score. The gains waa fcrausferred to the Christchurch goal, but Wilson ab back, who was playing a splendid game for the local team, relieved end the ball was returned to neutral territory, where it wag pheu half-time waa called. On changing ends, H^adeison at < back showed up prominently, itfewall afc half then secured the ier.fchrr and, passing forward, another attempt wa3 made, for which tho Pylades' goaiketpsr had to concede a corner. Wilson, taking <he kick, landed the ball just in front of tha goal, but nothing came of it, the Pylades' backa driving the ball, well up the field. At the call of time the ball waa in mid-field, the game thua ending ia a draw, so goala being scored by either Bida. Mr Macinillan was referee. After the game lbs teams adjourned to the Clarendon Hotel, where a pleasant hour was spanfc, Mr Hamilton occupying the j chair.
