INQUEST.

An inquest wbb. held at the Crown Hotel at 9 a.m., to-day, before Mr H- W. Bishop, Coroner and a jury, of which Mr T. Hancock waa chosen foreman, on the body of Thomas Beaven, who died suddenly at his residence, South Belt, Sydenham, about noon yesterday. The evidence showed that deceased waß, apparently, a fairly healthy man, fifty-eig_t yearß of age, an accountant retired from business, and that about twelvo o'clock he complained of feeling ill, and that he died a few minutes later, Dr Lomax-Smith, who bad made a post-mortem examination of the body, attributed death to rupture of the heart.
