School ATTEki>ANCE Act. — Truant inspectors Hallet'and Crawford summoned half a dozen parents to the Magistrate's Court at Timaru yesterday for neglecting to send children to school. The mothers I of the children appeared in most cases. One pleaded her own illnesß, and the fact of her having no one but her little girl to attend to her. The others pleaded want of boots or o£ clothes fit to wear to school.
