Hurunui Rabbit Board.
The usual monthly meeting of this Board called for April 6 lapsed for want of a quorum, only Mesirs E. D. Giles and W l . .0. Butberford bein£ present. The adjourned ■ meeting was held on April 13; present—^Messrs Wi T. Robiasbd (chairman), E. D. Gilep, T. Chapman and J. Henderson. Mr Henderson read his report for the past month, which was adopted. It was resolved that one month'a notice should be given to three residents of Cheviot to exterminate the rabbits on the lands in their occupation, and that the Board would provide material for alteration of the fence at the Leamington, provided the Cheviot County Council carried out the work to the satisfaction of Mr W. T. Erobineon, the Board's representative, and paid all farther expenses in connection with it. It was decided to remove the unguaided rabbit traps at the Hanmer, and to Bupply cartridges to the caretakers. The Clerk was instructed to write, asking Mr Ritchie's approval of the proposal to remove that part of the Hurnnui fence between the old blacksmith's shop and the Waitohi cutting, from the north to the south side of the road. The tegular monthly meeting of the Board was fixed for the first Saturday in each month.
