Mandeville and Bangiora River Board.

Tho annual meeting of this Board was held on May 2 ; present— Messrs Mulcock (chairman), Duncan, Kelcher, Pearson and Smith. The annual ' report and balancesheet were read, showing the receipts to have been :— Balance from last year £376 6s 7d, contribution to works £9 19a, rates £284 14a 6d ; total £671 Os ld. Expendi-ture-Salaries, rent, election, audit, adveri tieing, printing aud stationery £58 6i lld, works on main drain £63 9s 7d, cleaning river Cam and drains £133 ss, miscellaneous £10 2s Gd'; total £260 4a. There was a credit balance of £260 4s, and the balance of assets over liabilities amounted to £451 5a Bd. The report and balance-sheet were adopted subject to audit. The meeting then closed. An ordinary meeting of the Board was then held, the same members being present. Letters were read from the Registrar-General requesting to be furnished with the annual returns of receipts aud expenditure. Tho returns were ordered to be sent. Mrs Easterbrook wrote requesting her name to be taken off the rate-roll, and that of Donald Ramsey inserted for her property. The request was agreed to. Mr John Power applied for leave to out some willows along the Rangiora main drain fronting his property. The request wao granted oa condition that all were cut and carted away. Accounts amounting to £104 9a lld were passed for J payment. ..
