[SrECUL TO PKEB9 ASSOCIATION.] CALGUTrA, April 4. TJmra Khan has imprisoned two British oflicera and seven Sepoyo. Bis troops are gathering and cii' trenching themselves at Mandav. The British forcea have now resumed the advance. April 5. The Swatis swarmed on both sises of tbe pass. Their shooting was wild, biifc if thoy had been armed with modern weapons it would have bean impossible to dislodge them j with tho force at the disposal of the British General. The machine guna mowed them down by hundreds. The First Brigade haa captured Shatehot Pasts. Another brigade is being prepared for Bervics in OhifcraT. The efforts of the troops from Gilgifc' to' force tho Mastuj Pass failed owing to a blinding snowstorm; Fifteen were killed on the British aide. Both brigades are at Malakund Pass. The Ranizai tribesmen, defeated at the Htorming of Malalrund, have since submitted to the British.
