Mails close for the following places as under, subject to the necessary alterations : — Saturday, April 6. For Northern Ports and Greymouth, per Herald, at 12.30 p.m. ; late fee letters, 12.45 p.m. ; guard's van, 1.25 p.m. train. For Dunedin, per Anglian, at 3 p.m. j late fee letters, 3.15 p.m.} guard's van, 4 p.m. train. For Dunedin and Australian Colonies, and also for United Kingdom (specially addressed via Naples), India, China, Japan, &s., per Mararoa, at 3 p.m. ; late fee letters 3.15 p.m. ; guard's van, 4 p.m. train. Due London May 22. For Northern Ports, per Penguin, at 7.45 p.m. ; lata fee letters, 8 p.m. } guard's van, 9.15 p.m. train. The steamer Tanais, for Noumea and New Hebrides, leaves Sydney on April 6, and the steamer Australian, for Noumea, on April 8. E. Kieton, Chief Poßkmaater.
