An Appeal.— An effort is being made by the Caledonian Bowlinpr Club, of Duni'din, to raise funds for the widow and rhildrtn of a late member, Mr Frank Scott, who died suddenly on the green last month, leaving his family totally unprovided for. Soveral Christchurch bowlers have already given donations to the fund, and it is hoped that the good fellowship prevailing among the members of the various clubs will lead to a substantial contribution to the fund being sent from Canterbury.
