i JSpBOIAL TO THE " STiB."J . -. WELLINGTON, Jan. 23. The owner of the Mascotte has expressed dissatisfaction at the result of the Championship Eace yesterday. He considers bis boat had, not favourable conditions. At first he intended challenging the owner of the Waitangi, and the amount stated was to be J6IOO. However, the Yacht Club has arranged for. a general handicap race open to. all yachts in; the harbour, which, will probably be fixed for Saturday. The Waitangi waa handed over to her : "Wellington owners this morning, and Mr ! Logan returns to Auckland at the end of t the week. , Out of the ten competing only , two, yaohfca, , were built by Logan, the . Waitangi and Ehona, and both won firsts. :| Two other Auckland yachts, the Pet and i the Atlanta, built by Bailey, also disfcin- ! guished -themselves., : ."
