BEEFTON, Jan. 12.
The Premier arrived at Beef ton last night a°d 0Q arrival met with a very hearty reception. The County Chairman and members of tho Inangahua County Council met him in the evening, and questions affecting local government and main road maintenance were discussed and satisfactorily adjusted. The facts were laid before the Premier that spining ia the district is very much improved, and chat the returns for this year were expected to be much greater than for years past, and that the inhabitants had deoided to take advantage of prospecting for deep levels and continuing the low level tunnel.
The Premier proceeds by coach to Westport, and leaves TVeßtport to-night for Wellington. On his arrival in Wellington there will be a full Cabinet meeting.
