The Tariff Commission will not be completed till to-day. Those already selected are tho Hon Downie Stewart, Measra J. Duthie, Tanner, William Hutchison, Stevens, M'Qowan and Thomas M'Kenzie, M.H.E/6.
The Land Purchase Commissioners have been making selections of land in the vicinity of Christchuroh with a view to the Government acquiring a sufficient area under Jbhe Land for Settlements Act for 'the purpboeisof ' " "
