Wathb Supply Board. — An ordinary meeting of the Waimakariri-Ashley Water Supply Board was hold oa Thursday ; I present — Messrs John O'Halloran (chairi man), Heywood, Horrell, Dixon and | Dlckensoa. A latter was received from the Kangiora Borough Council with reference to a supply of water from the Board's proposed Brown'a Book soheme, and inquiring as to outlets. It was reaolved to write toi the Mayor of Bangiora, and in- | form him that the Board was not in a posiI tion at the preaent time to give informa- ' tion as to outlotß. Ifc was resolved that after the statutory meeting to ba held at Cusb to comply with the Act ia connection with the Brown'a Bock scheme, meetings of ratepayers to discuss matters in con* ooction with tho eoheme should bo held at Fornside, West Eyreton, Swannanoa and O&rloton. Mi? W. J. Webb, manager of the Springbank Estate, wrote in reply to a letter with reference to the diversion of the Cußt stream, and stating that the race was taken from a branch flowing through the eatate,and did not affeot the boundary of any holding, the eaid branch emptying itself into the Oust stream near the railway bridge at Stoke. It waa resolved to acknowledge the letter, thank the manager of tho Springbauk Eatito for his explanation, and inform him that tho Board would furbher oonaider the matter.
