Since wo last wrote, the weather, while warm, has been variable. Considerable rain has fallen, and growth under the conditions has been vigorous. English cables still report a steady feeling in the London market the recent advance in quotations not having displayed any signs of weakness. Locally, business in wheat has been limited, the local andinterprovinoial trade having absorbed tbe email enquiry noticeable. Nominally, prices remain at 2b 5d to 2s Cd for Huntei's and 2s 6d to 2s 7dfor Pearl and Tuscan.

Oats have not shown any signs of a revival either in demand or value. Business has been confined to almost retail dimensions. Quotations Btand at Is 6d to Is 7d for milling, stout feed Is 6d, other grades Is 4d to Is sd. In the present somnolent condition of the market, sales are haid to effect unless at a reduction.

Bablet. — For Cape barley the demand at tho moment is sluggish. Values range from Is 9d to 23..

Beans and Peas.— Beana are neglected by Bhippers, as, though Homa values have improved, the margin is too small to induce speculation. Quotations stand at 2s 2d to 2a 3d. Prussian Blue peas show no alteration, and are worth 2a 6d to 2s 9d, feed kinds 2a 3d to 2s 4d.

Flour.— Boiler £7, stone .£6 10a.

Potatoes. — Within the last day or two the market locally has hardened. Holders are not disposed to accept less than 15s.

Grass Seed. — We have no business to report, either in cocksfoot or ryegrass. Colonial clovers fi£d to 6-|d, with exceedingly limited offerings.

Dairy Produce. — Butter, factory made 9d, dairy Gd to Gd. Cheeße 3£d to 4d.
