Our Fallen Sisters.
TO THK EDITOB. Sib, — Accept the deep gratitude of many for your well-chosen words concerning the effort of our kindly meaning but sadlymiataken workers of the W.C.T.U. in their effort to clobb certain houses. Cannot they eee that there is a demand, else there i would be provided no supply. What then ought they to deal with ? Why, the demand. Kill that out and the supply will take care of itself. Suppose a certain shoemaker kept on sale shoes which nobody liked or desired, would anybody think it right or wise to order his shop closed ? No, if everybody kept away and did not wieh his goods he would soon, very soon, be obliged to clcae. Our sisters would do well to learn that wherever there is a demand there will inevitably follow a supply. It is a law which no man or body of men can put asunder. — I am, &c, DEMAND AND SUPPLY.
