OBITUARY.
♦ [Pub Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Sept. 17. The Hon Eobert Hart, M.L.C, died yesterday. He was eighty-seven years of age, and had been fifty-one yearß in Wellington. He had been ailmg for some time, and was nofc able to be present in his place in the Legislative Council this session. In his younger days he was a well-known barrister and solicitor, and for years was the principal member of the firm of Hart and Buckley (now Sir Patrick). In 1854 he waß elected member for Wellington, in tbe first Parliament held in Auckland, and in 1872 wag called to the Upper House. He was one of the oldest Freemasons in the colony. [SPECIAL TO TH» STAB.] The House, on meeting to- night, will at once adjourn in consequence of the Hon B. Hart's death.
