We have, however,. very serious doubts as to whether the police should be- clothed with authority to send a man's portrait abroad, or to publish a full description of him in the newspapers, when he- is- not a criminal, and when he rather ought to receive tbe pity and help of all hi&fellows. —Auckland Herald.
