Trotting Association. A meeting of the Canterbury Metropolitan Trotting Association was held at the City Hotel on Tuesday evening; presentMessrs C. Hood Williams (in the chair), W. Tonks, A. Duncan and C. S. Howell.' The Chairman reported the receipt of a telegram from the Hawfee'e Bay Metropolitan Trotting Club, stating that it had been constituted the Metropolitan Club of that district, and would run under its own rule?. It was reßolved that the club should bo recognised as a Metropolitan Trotting Club, ia accordance with Rule 7a. of the Association. Letters were received from the Wellington Trotting Association and the Greymcuth Jockey Club, recognising the Canterbury Metropolitan Trotting Association as the Trottisg Association for the Canterbury district. At the request of the Ashburton Trotting Club, it was resolved that Dec. 5, 1894, and April 26, 1895, should be the days sat apart for its meetings. The Tinwald Racing Club 6ubmitted a programme for a meeting to be held on Jan. 1, 1895, containing one trotting event for .£3O. The programme was approved. The Canterbury Trottitig Club submitted a programme for a meeting to bo held on Oct. 20, with added money .£440. The programme wa3 accompanied by a duly audited balance-sheet for the last meeting, Rhowing a surplus of £178. The programme was passed. After transacting some unimportant business, the meeting terminated.
