M largo and enthusiastic audience, num" bers of beautiful bouquets for the lady artistes, and everyone delighted.- That about sums up the results of the last concert by the Belle Cole Company. Madame Cole Bang Sullivan's fine song, " The Lost Chord," in a manner which was a perfects revelation to the audience, for although the song has* been heard here en many ccsasions, the interpretation 1 given by this artist has never been approached. In response to an enthusiastic 1 . encore 6he repeated the last verse. Her* other item was Goldy's pretty " Slumber Song," the beauties of which were finely brought out. Madame ©hose for her' encore, "The Cows are in tbe-Corn," and l this being re-demanded she repeated the* laat verso. Miss Gwen Dftvies Bang with great taste " Spoht'a " B?se Softly Blooming," and for an encore Mollby's "Ching a King," a quaint little Chinese ditty. " The Way ot the World " (Molloy), waß another acceptable number, and for an encore she Bang a Welsh song. Mr Magrath was *- euccessf ul in Pinsuti's- "Bedouin Love Song," and in response to a redemand gave the old English song " Do«ra Among t.he Dead Men." He als-» gave a fine rendering of Lohr's "Ont on the Deep/' and for an encore the ever-welcome " Father O'Plynn," having agein to repeat the task veree. Mr Woodhouse (who took the pjace of Mr Jaekaon) sang "BucaußO of Thee" and Somerßet'u "A Spng of May." Miss Murkens playecj her violin solos in a most artistic and eympa- •'. thetio manner.' A word of p'reise is due to Mrs C. Edgar, who again took Mr Silver's 1 ' place at the piano.
