While laymen admit that the sanctity of marriage should be jealously safeguarded, they do not think that sanctity ia increased by maintaining in enforced bonds people to whom the tie baa become loathsome from such cauaea aa those laid down in Mr Maogregor'a Bill. A dissolution of marriage they believe can be effected under such circumstances with benefit to the aggrieved petitioners, and without injury to the morala of the community.—Auckland Star.
