PASTOEALISTS AND SHEAEERS.

In view of the action of the Paatoralists' Union ot. New South Wale3 in abrogating the agreement arrived at in 1891 a a conference between representatives of the Intercolonial Fastjraiistß* Unions and Shearers' Unions, the executive committee of the Australian Shearers' Union decided that some action should be taken, and a meeting was held in Melbourne on April 11. Representatives frora New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia were T?re3ent, and the ohair waa occupied by Mr T. H. Williams, M.L.A., of New South Wales, tho President of the Union. After a discussion of the position the following resolutions were adopted :— l. " That this meeting is unanimously of opinion that the tr-rme of the conference agreement of 1891 should bo maintained until altered by mutual consent." 2. "That we must specially resist any reduction of shearing ratos,and the provision embodied in the fi .nth clause of the proposed Pastoraliste' Union agreement." 3.
