Lord v. R. Evans, claim £8 10« 9d j judgment summonß. Mr Johnston for judgment creditor. It was proved that the debtor was earning good wageß, and he wbb ordered to pay the debt and costs within fourteen days, or in default one month's imprisonment.— T. Bullivant v. J. Bligh, claim *fil2 10a 6d for money lent. Mr Beatfcie for plaintiff, Mr Cassidy for defendant. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £1 8s with coats.— C. Beading v. H. Valentine, claim £3 10s for work done. Mr Hoban for defendant. Judgment was given for plaintiff for £2 with coats.— Sclanders and Co. v. J. Boot, claim £31 3s Id, on a dishonoured promissory note. Mr Johnston for plaintiffs, Mr Donnelly ' for defendant. Me Donnelly submitted | that the date of cancellation of the Btamp on the promissory note was not the true date of cancellation, and therefore the stamp was not properly cancelled as required by Section 61 of the Stamp Act, ISB2. As the stamp was not properly cancelled the note was not duly stamped, and therefore the plain- ' tiffs could not recover. He quoted the case of Harrison v. The Bank o£ Net?
