Apbil 2. The law in South Carolina places I the sale of alcoholic liquors in the I hands of the State. | WASHINGTON, Apbil 2. ! The Governor oil Darlington has ! obtained reinforcements of militia, and has proclaimed the country in a Bfcate of rebellion. The sale of liquor by private individuals has been stopped in South Carolina since July without payment of compensation. A few State dispensaries only supply the public, and private citizens are forbidden to import. ,It is alleged that the law was only forced through the Legislature by the Gover-nors-fanaticism. The seizure ofrajl- : roads and telegraphs is driving the State to revolt.
