LYTTELTON.
The members of the Lyttelton Naval Artillery and N Battery Artillery did not go into camp with the other Canterbury volunteers, but are holding camps of instruction in gnn drill at th© forts that e»oh company wonld be called upon to man in the event of hostilities. The Naval Artillery, nnder command of Lieutenant Joyce, is nnder canv&B at Bipa 4 Island, while the N Battery is encamped * on the Lyttelton side of the harbour, in , the vicinity of the 64-pounder muzzleloading gnn, and is under the command of Lieutenant Palmer. Major Sir Arthur Douglas is in command of the camp, and yesterday the men spent several hours in big gun work.
