[Sphcial to thb "Stab."] WELLINGTON. Feb. 8. Mr Percy Smith, chairman of the Board ■ | of Land Purchase Commissioners, expects to go to Christchurch in abont ten days, along with Mr C. M. Crombie, Commis-; sioner of Taxes, to investigate and report upon lands offered to the Government.
